Detectives in Sheffield are appealing for witnesses and information after a reported armed robbery at a convenience store in Lowedges on Wednesday night (7 April).

At 8.10pm, two men entered the Nisa Local store on Lowedges Road. One is said to have been armed with an axe and another with a crow bar. After threatening the three staff members and forcing them in to the back room of the store, the pair made off with cigarettes, tobacco, and cash.

Early enquiries suggest that the two involved are in their late teens, white and around 5ft 9in tall.
